1. Scope
This policy applies to intellectual property displayed, transmitted, distributed, referenced, stored, or otherwise made available through meadnyte.com, official Meadnyte channels, and House-authorized communications. “Meadnyte,” “House of Meadnyte,” “World of Meadnyte,” “House,” “we,” and “our” refer to the Meadnyte creative enterprise and its authorized rights holders.
This policy supplements the Terms of Use. It does not transfer ownership or create a license except where this policy expressly says so.
2. Protected House assets
House assets include, without limitation, original:
- names, titles, logos, sigils, wordmarks, trade dress, visual identities, character identities, and distinctive design systems;
- books, manuscripts, poetry, essays, scripts, lyrics, musical compositions, sound recordings, performances, films, videos, animation, photography, illustrations, artwork, and audiovisual works;
- characters, fictional worlds, lore, story structures, series bibles, project treatments, research compilations, production designs, storyboards, concepts as expressed in protectable works, and unpublished development materials;
- website text, interface designs, room architecture, graphics, code, data arrangements, email designs, campaigns, documents, templates, specifications, and production files;
- projects including Fragments of a Listening Soul, Flawed, Terrapin, The Meadnyte Chronicles, and other identified Meadnyte or House works, whether released, in development, archived, or unpublished; and
- derivatives, adaptations, drafts, alternate versions, excerpts, promotional materials, masters, stems, source files, and metadata associated with those works.
The examples above identify protected categories and known projects but do not limit the scope of House intellectual property.
3. Ownership and reservation of rights
Copyright protection arises automatically when an original work is fixed in a tangible medium. Publication, display, preview, performance, or distribution does not dedicate a House asset to the public domain, waive rights, or authorize copying.
All rights are reserved. Except for the limited permission in Section 4 or a separate written license signed by an authorized rights holder, no right, title, license, permission, or interest is granted by access to a House asset.
Meadnyte may use copyright notices, trademark notices, access controls, metadata, watermarks, and registrations to identify or strengthen rights. The absence of such a notice or measure does not mean that a work is unprotected. Nothing here claims ownership of facts, ideas, methods, public-domain material, or third-party property as such; the House reserves rights in its protectable expression, selection, arrangement, identity, and other legally protected interests.
4. Limited permitted use
You may view and interact with publicly available site material for personal, noncommercial purposes. You may share an unmodified link to a public Meadnyte page. You may also make uses independently authorized by law, such as fair use, quotation, criticism, commentary, news reporting, scholarship, or accessibility, to the extent the law permits.
When attribution is reasonably possible, identify Meadnyte or the credited creator and link to the original page. Attribution does not convert an otherwise unauthorized use into an authorized one.
5. Prohibited use and handling
Unless authorized in writing or permitted by non-waivable law, you may not:
- copy, reproduce, publish, upload, distribute, sell, sublicense, publicly perform, publicly display, adapt, translate, remix, synchronize, dramatize, or create derivative works from House assets;
- remove or alter credits, rights notices, metadata, watermarks, provenance information, access controls, or content credentials;
- present a House asset, project, name, character, design, or identity as your own, or imply sponsorship, affiliation, endorsement, or authorization;
- use House assets in merchandise, advertising, branding, products, services, domain names, accounts, datasets, model training, machine-learning development, synthetic-media generation, or automated content systems;
- scrape, harvest, download in bulk, mirror, archive for redistribution, or use automated means to extract House content; or
- use House material in a deceptive, unlawful, defamatory, exploitative, or rights-violating context.
The restriction on automated analysis, text and data mining, and machine-learning uses applies to the maximum extent permitted by law and does not override a right that applicable law makes non-waivable.
6. Third-party material
Some House pages may identify, quote, embed, link to, or incorporate material owned by collaborators, service providers, licensors, or other third parties. Those materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and terms. Meadnyte does not grant permission for third-party material merely because it appears in a House context.
7. Licensing and permissions
For publishing, performance, synchronization, adaptation, educational, archival, commercial, press, or other permission requests, contact social@meadnyte.com. Include the asset, intended use, territory, channels, duration, audience, commercial terms, and requested deadline. Silence is not consent, and no permission is effective unless confirmed in writing by an authorized rights holder.
8. Rights and infringement notices
If you believe material on a Meadnyte-controlled page infringes your rights, send a detailed notice to social@meadnyte.com. Include your contact information, identification of the protected work, the exact page or material at issue, the basis for your claim, and any supporting authority. Meadnyte may request additional information and may restrict material while a good-faith notice is reviewed.
Meadnyte reserves the right to protect House assets through removal requests, platform notices, contractual remedies, registration, litigation, or other lawful measures. Failure to act in one instance is not a waiver.
